The learn section allows you to participate in private and public classes, as well as engage in personalized study at your own pace.

classes
To see a list of all the classes you're currently enrolled in, click on the Learn tab. To search for classes and enroll in them, click on the 'Search for classes' option. In a classroom environment, the teacher will give you the URL of the class enrollment page.
example class
To enter a class, click on its name in the list of classes. This example shows a public Astronomy class about the Solar System. The overview section displays a description of the class, a link to its enrollment page, and other useful information.
example lesson
To see a particular lesson, click on its title. Each lesson has a title, some narrative, some resources and arrows for moving back and forth through the lessons. This example is a lesson about cool space adventures.
student roster
To see a list of all the enrolled students, click on the students tab. To send the selected students a message, click on the 'Send message' option. Our system never reveals the email address of any member, and members have the option of forwarding messages to their email account.
calendar
To see the class calendar, click on the calendar tab. The calendar provides a monthly view of all class events, including lessons and assignment due dates. You can scroll through the months using the left and right arrows.
assignments
To see a list of all the given assignments with your grades, click on the assignments/grades tab. To submit an assignment, click on the assignment and then enter the submission. The 'grade map' shows how a score is mapped onto a letter grade.
forum
To see the class forum, click on the forum tab. It's a threaded forum which means you can easily see the entire flow of a discussion about a particular subject. In addition, you can subscribe to the forum via email. The teacher can moderate the forum and delete postings if necessary.

chat
To see a list of the class chat rooms, click the chat tab.
To enter a chat room, click on its name. The chat room pops up in a separate window and displays a list of its occupants plus a record of the conversation. New messages are displayed within seconds to all the other occupants.
wiki
To see the class wiki pages, click the wiki tab.
Anyone in the class can edit a wiki page. You can see the previous versions and revert to a previous one if required.
debates
Debates encourage critical thinking skills. To see a list of debates, click the debates tab.
Each debate has a proposition that students can support, challenge, and vote for.
feeds
To see a list of the class news feeds, click on the feeds tab. The teacher can add one or more news feeds, either from our community set of feeds or a brand new feed. Brand new feeds are automatically added to the community set of feeds.
blogs
The teacher and each student gets a class blog that is only accessible to others in the class. If a student is shy they can let only the teacher read their blog.
quizzes
To see a list of all the quizzes you've taken, click on the quizzes tab.
